In cooperation with the FDLTCC Environmental Institute, the NE MN Beekeepers Association will be co-hosting the second annual Beekeeping symposium on Saturday February 25, 2017. The event will be open to the public. Entry to the day-long event is $10 for NEMBA members and $15 for non-members. A spaghetti dinner will be available at mid-day for a nominal charge.
We urge everyone interested or involved in beekeeping to join us for this fun event. To help plan resources and food supplies, we ask that you preregister if you are able. Please click here to preregister. You may also register at the door on Saturday morning.
Our featured events will be a repeat of last year’s popular Basic Beekeeping short course, and we will have a representative from the U of MN Bee Squad with us to bring us up to speed on their current research and activities. Will will also hear from members of the Xerces society on ways to improve pollinator habitat.
We will have several vendors participating and we will have additional educational opportunities.
If you have any thought or suggestions for what you would like to see, please let us know via our Contact Us page, email, Facebook or at a future meeting. Thanks – we will see you in February.
